Steam distributor or steam drum is a device which is main and essential in steam boiler system. It belongs to pressure vessels. It collects the steam generated from steam boilers and distribute it into steam tubes. Through these tubes, steam goes to the heat consuming equipments. The structure of steam distributor is not complicated. It consists of one steam cylinder, two supports, one steam inlet, a few steam outlets, one or two drain outlets and one pressure gauge port. The dimension of steam distributor depends on the steam boilers with different steam capacity. Normally the working pressure is 1-2.5MPa and the working temperature is 0-400℃.

According to our Chinese Manufacturing Standard and steam pressure, the steam cylinder is made of 10-20# seamless tubes, Q235B, 20# or 16MnR steel plate. The diameter is 2-2.5 times of the maximum tube connected to the cylinder.
