The maintenance of the biomass-fired boiler
1. Furnace cleaning. The furnace of the biomass-fired boiler should be cleaned regularly to remove the slag in the furnace for the sufficient fuel combustion.
2. Instrument cleaning. The instruments of the biomass-fired boiler such as water level gauges and pressure gauges should be normal and clean to ensure that the boiler operator can judge the boiler’s operating conditions according to the instrument display.
3. Regular discharge. The biomass-fired boiler should discharge the sewage after being used for some time to remove impurities in the boiler and replace the water source.
4. Auxiliary equipment. The control cabinet, forced draft fan, induced draft fan and so on should be maintained for normal operation.
5. Combustion conditions. Check the combustion conditions in the furnace of the biomass-fired boiler to confirm whether the fuel can be burned sufficiently. If the thermal efficiency lowers and the boiler is abnormal, one should check the boiler and solve the problem timely.
