Project Overview

MCS Coca-Cola LLC became the authorized bottler of Coca-Cola in Mongolia in 2001 and has continuously expanded its beverage production to meet growing market demand. With the launch of iced tea and juice products, the company required a stable and precise steam supply to support sterilization, blending, and filling processes, where consistent pressure and temperature are critical to product quality.

To ensure reliable operation of the upgraded production lines, three WNS series gas-fired steam boilers were installed after technical evaluation. The burner atomizes fuel for complete combustion in the corrugated furnace, while the three-pass structure maximizes heat utilization, improving thermal efficiency and reducing fuel consumption. An intelligent control system automatically adjusts operating parameters, and 24/7 monitoring of water level and pressure guarantees safe and stable boiler performance.

Boiler features

WNS series horizontal internal combustion boiler is a boiler shell type 3 passes wetback oil/gas fired boiler. After fuel is being atomized by burner, flame is full of the wave furnace and transfer heat via furnace wall, this is 1st pass; the high temperature smoke is collected in reversal chamber and then enters 2nd pass which is grooved tubes bundle area; after heat convection, air temperature gradually falls and goes to front smoke box and turn to 3rd pass, which is smooth tubes bundle area, and then enters chimney passing back smoke box and exhausted to the atmosphere.

Technical advantages

Since commissioning, the boilers have demonstrated excellent on-site performance. The stable steam output ensures precise temperature control during beverage processing, directly contributing to consistent product quality.

High combustion efficiency and optimized heat transfer reduce fuel consumption and operating costs. The wetback structure minimizes thermal stress and extends the service life of the boiler, lowering long-term maintenance expenses.

In addition, the clean combustion of natural gas helps the plant meet environmental standards while supporting sustainable production goals.
